Luxury Italian Brands Bow Forty One Madison Showrooms

Two luxury Italian brands have landed at Forty One Madison and will be debuting new showrooms for the upcoming New York Tabletop Market, April 4 to 7. For both Ercolano and Mepra, their debut at Forty One Madison represents a strategic move to expand business in the North American market.

Ercolano is known for its handcrafted inlaid wood boxes and furniture, and its iconic tabletop designs. Founded in Sorrento, Italy nearly a century ago, the family-owned company has a rich history that includes creating lavish furnishings for European royalty. “As a beloved European staple, we are thrilled to be joining the roster of great brands at Forty One Madison and look forward to furthering our global presence,” said Orlando Ercolano, company president.

Mepra, the Italian factory owned by the Prandelli family, has manufactured flatware, cookware, serveware, barware and tabletop accessories since 1927. “Mepra currently enjoys an established global business in food service and hospitality, but we are excited to expand our brand as a household name in the U.S. market,” said Luca Prandelli, Mepra sales manager. “With our new post at Forty One Madison, we look forward to bridging new relationships and building our consumer awareness for Mepra in the Americas.”

In other showroom news, Japanese tableware manufacturer Nikko will open a new 1,500-square foot showroom on the 19th floor. Vietri is expanding by 50% to make more space for its growing lines, and will be relocating to a new showroom on the 22nd floor. DeVine Corporation, home to premium brands including J.L. Coquet, Ercuis, Raynaud, and others, is undergoing a full renovation on the ninth floor. Debuting in a new showroom this market is new Italian brand SV Casa. SV Casa designs and produces bed and bath accessories, frames, and bar accessories using organic materials including precious stones, wood, and shells.

“We expect the April show to debut more new product than ever. Companies are investing in and pushing the boundaries of their production creativity. Buyers will be delighted to see what will be shown here for the first time in New York. Its early April date this year is perfect,” said Laurie Burns, svp/director, Forty One Madison.
