CHICAGO— Maverick will introduce two new digital thermo-meters at the International Home + Housewares Show, here.
The company will debut its Alexa-compatible thermometer. According to Maverick, the iOS and Android-compatible unit can be used in three ways.
First, it can be used as a remote roasting thermometer via Bluetooth. It can also be used as a wireless WiFi-enabled thermometer that allows consumers to check the temperature of their food from anywhere that they have an Internet connection.
Finally, it can also be used with Alexa. Through this smart personal assistant, consumers can set and check on the temperature of their food, in addition to how much time is left to cook, using voice commands.
The Alexa-compatible thermometer comes with two high-heat, waterproof probes. Preset temperatures will also be available within the app. The Alexa-compatible thermometer has an SRP of $129.99.
Maverick will also introduce the PT-75 Temp & Time Instant-Read Thermometer. According to the company, this new Type K thermocouple thermometer has a two to three second response time and an automatic 99-minute count-up timer when the probe is shut.
This feature, explained Maverick, can help prevent a consumer from wondering when they last checked on the food they were cooking.
The PT-75’s LCD display rotates 180 degrees for left or right hand viewing, and also offers a reverse white LCD for nighttime viewing.
The PT-75 Temp & Time Instant-Read Thermometer has an SRP of $69.99.
