Meijer To Open Two Indiana Supercenters

On May 2, Meijer will open two new supercenters in McCordsville and Franklin, IN.

Company leadership and local dignitaries will help celebrate the first day of business at the stores. The Indianapolis-area supercenters are two of seven new Meijer stores opening in Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin this year.

Meijer has invested heavily in Indianapolis in recent years. Of the 15 Meijer stores in Indianapolis and its suburbs, most are new or have been subject to remodel over the past few years. A remodel of the Meijer supercenter on East 96th Street in Indianapolis will be completed by the end of this summer. Store enhancements for Meijer remodels included expanding grocery departments and adding to health and beauty section space as well as upgrades to lighting, heating, refrigeration and parking lots, designed to improve customer experience at the stores.

“Indianapolis is very important for us, and our new stores reinforce our commitment to serving the needs of families with an incredible combination of service, selection and quality at low prices,” said Maureen Mitchell, regional vp, Meijer. “We look forward to opening day with our new neighbors in McCordsville, Franklin and their surrounding communities.”
