Stein Mart has named MaryAnne Morin president with responsibility for merchandising and marketing. The company also announced that D. Hunt Hawkins, who was its interim CEO, has been appointed CEO.
Morin will oversee Stein Mart’s merchandising, planning, marketing and advertising, and e-commerce organizations when she assumes her new job on February 6. She was previously chief merchant and evp for the Lord & Taylor and Hudson’s Bay operations of Hudson’s Bay Co.
Stein Mart named Hawkins interim CEO in September 2016. He was Stein Mart’s president and COO from 2014 to 2016.
“We’re delighted to welcome MaryAnne to Stein Mart,” Hawkins said. “With her extensive retail, omnichannel and product development experience, she will lead us in developing merchandise and marketing plans that will build our business by driving positive change and better engagement with our customers.”
