A ceramic bathroom heater from Lasko Products took top honors during the 10th annual Homewares Awards at the recent National Hardware Show.
The awards program, sponsored by HOMEWORLD BUSINESS®, recognized four new home and housewares products from show exhibitors. This year’s Homewares Show Awards winners are:
- Gold Award: Lasko Products, Ceramic Bathroom Heater.
- Silver Award: Smanos Inc., Smanos Smart Video Doorbell.
- Bronze Award: Voxx Accessories Corp., MyGuard Automatic Laundry Water Shutoff System.
- Honorable Mention: IVUS Marketing Inc., Bring It On Cleaner.
The Homewares Show Awards program evaluates entries based on aesthetics, differentiation/uniqueness, how they fill consumer needs, overall value and packaging/merchandising support.
This year’s entries were judged by a panel of merchants representing the array of retail channels that attend the National Hardware Show: Anthony Escamilla, HDW; Marvin Gingrich, Home Hardware; Jay Fording, Lowe’s; Steve Domingues, Orchard Supply Hardware; Mike McClennan, Home Hardware; Deborah Shearer, Table + Dine; John Rij, Wakefern; and Chris Nylen, Organize It.

The Gold Award-winning ceramic bathroom heater from Lasko showcases a compact design equipped with an ALCI safety plug. The push of a large button atop the 250-watt heater sets it into high heat for an hour. Two steady-on heat settings are also featured.
The Silver Award-winning video doorbell extends the Smanos smart home lineup with a camera-equipped doorbell that instantly notifies smartphones when someone approaches the door and presses the doorbell. The system also enables users to speak remotely to visitors.
The Bronze Award-winning automatic laundry water shutoff system from Voxx protects against flooding by closing the hot and cold water valves within four seconds of detecting moisture on the floor near the appliance.
The honorable-mention Bring It On Cleaner from IVUS combines hard water stain-removing solution with pads and brushes that attach to drills for faster cleaning.
