BJ’s Advances Digital Transformation With New Desktop Site

BJ’s Wholesale Club is launching a new desktop website that will make it easier for members to research and buy products, as well as manage their memberships.

The desktop site also will give members access to services such as online deli and bakery ordering so they can place an order and pick it up in as little as 36 hours, the retailer said. On the new site, members will be able to access Pick Up & Pay, a program that allows them to reserve select non-perishable products online and pick up in as little as two hours later, the company noted.

BJ’s emphasized that it is making several technology updates to deliver an integrated omnichannel experience. Additional enhancements to its digital operations include increased technology application in its clubs and a new mobile app. Last month, BJ’s rolled out a new mobile website.

“We’re making it more convenient for members to shop, and save at BJ’s, whether it’s in-club, from their desktops or on their mobile devices,” said Rafeh Masood, BJ’s svp/chief digital officer. “Omnichannel is an integral part of the company strategy, and the new desktop site is another step in our transformation.”
