Newell Brands has released the latest introductions of Ball home canning products in time for the 2017 canning season.
The new Spiral Jars are part of the Collection Elite Design Series. The modern twisted shape, said the company, lends itself to beverage and crafting uses, while also remaining ideal for home canning. The Ball Sure Seal Bail Storage Jars come with an easy-open latch to store household items while the airtight seal maintains freshness.
The collection also includes Piece Sip & Straw Lids designed to attach to the tops of jars. Newell said it has improved upon the original design by now including a band attached to the lid. The new Sip & Straw lids and straws are BPA-free, dishwasher safe, and come in a pack of two lids and two straws. Ball and Kerr Sure Tight lids will now feature twice the tinplate coating, providing additional rust resistance.
In addition, Ball and McCormick Recipe Cards are designed make small batch canning simpler, stated Newell. The cards include portioned non-GMO spices.
