NY Now Presents New Gift, Tableware Discoveries

NEW YORK— Retailers looking for tableware at the winter 2017 edition of NY Now, to be held February 4 to 8 at the Javits Center, will discover treasures from the rustic to the whimsical. Coastal continues to reign big as a design trend, and fish and other sea creatures will be shown on designs for kids and adults. Stackable, space saving cocktail glassware will also be present at the winter show.

ANNA BY RABLABS

Anna by RabLabs’ Cascita small bowls are crafted from hand-carved, solid semi-precious gemstones electroplated in silver and 24k gold. Beginning in spring 2017, the bowl will be available in natural agate.

BLOOMINGVILLE

Bloomingville debuts a variety of ceramics for adults and lines specifically designed for children. For the former, for example, its Barbara collection features an elegant, natural look and includes a new teapot with raw ceramic edges flush up against polished whites. Kid-friendly designs include Benjamin plates featuring an assortment of four sea creatures, a bunny plate and a pink melamine dining set highlighted by octopus and whale designs.

FRED & FRIENDS

Lifetime Brands’ Fred & Friends Bottled Up personal-sized desktop decanter and shot glass set is decorated with a vintage-style gold graphic with two styles to choose from: Gusto (Go For It) and The Sauce. Each cork-topped, borosilicate glass bottle holds 19 ounces and is topped with a 2.25-ounce glass. It is packed in a full-color display box.

MAGISSO

Magisso is debuting its crystalline stackable, chip-resistant Pino glasses (which means stack in Finnish). The glasses are said to feature a short stem and extra glass weight at the base to improve stability. A heat tempered edge finish is said to reduce chipping and allow for stacking.

ROSANNA

Rosanna will offer up vacation destination gift boxed tableware. The Paradise line is designed to “add a little aloha to your life” and features Hawaiian themed trays, as well as plates that feature pineapples and palms. Vacaciones features tableware with Caribbean and Latin American motifs.

VIETRI

Vietri’s School of Fish dishwasher-safe tableware feature fish offered in a fresh, cool blue pattern. Costiera, a colorful mix of sea creatures in deep cobalt blue and bright coral, are featured on a variety of tableware. A modern twist on the classic combination of blue and white, Net & Stripe is inspired by the intricately woven nets used by generations of Italian fishermen. Also new, Vines features an assortment of traditionally shaped, mouth blown vases with an abstract design. Drop glassware mixes a contemporary design with traditional style.
