NY Now will once again put the spotlight on handmade goods at the upcoming 2018 winter market. The market is scheduled to be held February 3 through 7 at the Javits Center in New York City.
The Handmade Designer Maker section will be open February 4 through 7, while the Handmade Global Design section will be open February 3 through 6. The Handmade Designer Maker section features a juried collection of more than 350 designer maker resources from across the U.S. and around the world. The Handmade Global Design section will feature exhibitors that will showcase designs that have been handmade through global artisan cooperatives.
“Whether they’re made in a limited production studio or through global artisan workshops, the products exhibited by the companies in our Handmade Designer Maker and Handmade Global Design sections are so creative and unique,” said Randi Mohr, vp/NY Now director.
NY Now said it is also welcoming new companies to the market and those that are returning after an absence. Some of the exhibitors include: Adellelouise accessories; Artech Studio glassware; and Belle & Union stationary, textiles, kitchen tools.
This year, goods with woven components, such as woven baskets, bowls and even wall décor and home accents, will be trending, according to NY Now.
