NY Now has announced that the Handmade Designer Maker section— part of the show’s Handmade Collection— will move to Level 3 of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center for the summer 2017 market.
“At NY Now, we strive to create an experience for attendees that enables them to discover more of the design-forward products that will make their stores unique,” said Randi Mohr, vp/NY Now show director. “By bringing Handmade Designer Maker to Level 3 of the Javits Center, not only will it be physically closer to the other sections in the Handmade Collection, but it will allow buyers to make the most of their time by giving them the ability to shop across a number of different categories on that level.”
With this relocation, Handmade Designer Maker will join more than 1,000 premium and emerging brands on Level 3 including the Artisan Resource section of the Handmade Collection, as well as the entire Home Collection which includes the Home Furnishings + Textiles, Tabletop + Gourmet Housewares, and Accent on Design sections. As a result, Handmade Designer Maker will now open on Sunday, August 20 and close on Wednesday, August 23.
This move also comes as expansion efforts begin on the Javits Center that will close the North Hall, which is where Handmade Designer Maker was previously located. Handmade Global Design will remain in the River Pavilion on Level 4, opening on Saturday, August 19 and closing on Tuesday, August 22.
