Oxo debuted its Good Grips Thermocouple Thermometer at the International Home + Housewares Show.
The Thermocouple Thermometer is equipped with a rotating backlit screen in order to keep temperature readings upright so that they are always convenient to read. The new thermometer provides a rapid readings display in three seconds, with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.9° Fahrenheit and can be displayed in either Fahrenheit or Celsius.
The thermometer can be used in the right or left hand and keeps hands away from the thin tipped probe by allowing consumers to rotate the probe a full 225 degrees with the turn of a dial. The thermometer falls asleep when not in use for three minutes, booting back up when picked up again, and it completely shuts down when not in use for 10 minutes, thus saving on battery life.
The new thermometer is expected to be available in June with a suggested retail price of $99.99.
