Pottery Barn Kids is planning a new exclusive home product collaboration with fashion designer Margherita Missoni.
Composed of over 50 designs for nursery, bedroom, and playroom, the Margherita Missoni for Pottery Barn Kids collection is said to capture the designer’s joyful and imaginative design aesthetic. The collection mixes vibrant colors, textures and prints, including the designer’s namesake flower, the daisy, which is a signature in her children’s clothing collection. The capsule collection, which is the designer’s first entry into children’s home furnishings, will debut in January 2017.
“Collaborating with Margherita Missoni on a one-of-a-kind collection for Pottery Barn Kids is very exciting,” said Jennifer Kellor, evp/Pottery Barn Kids and PBteen. “The vibrant mix of colors, textures, and prints is celebrated in her beautiful and playful collection of home furnishings for kid and baby.”
Margherita Missoni is the eldest daughter of Angela Missoni, creative director of the Missoni fashion brand, and the granddaughter of the house’s founders.
“I love to create pieces that encourage self-expression and explore individuality. It is a natural evolution from dressing myself and my children to now dressing the home,” said Missoni. “As a mother, I want my collection to inspire my children, Otto and Augusto, and all children to imagine, create and play. I’m very excited to work with Pottery Barn Kids on this collection of textiles, accessories and furniture that reflects a colorful world of possibilities.”
