Walmart has overhauled the leadership of its merchandising operations, including changes to the home category.
According to a Reuters report, Jeff Evans has been named general merchandise manager of the home category. Other changes include Scott McCall, who will serve as general merchandise manager of entertainment, toys and seasonal products; and Deanah Baker, who will oversee apparel, shoes and accessories.
The changes were announced by Walmart this past Friday, July 28, through an internal memo, a copy of which was obtained by Reuters.
According to Evans’ LinkedIn profile, which listed him as vp/gmm, home at Walmart, his previous experience at Walmart and Sam’s Club has been in apparel. His most recent position was svp/gmm of men’s, kid’s, infants, shoes, strategy and dot.com integration team.
