Report: QVC, HSN Eye NYC Retail Space

For years, television shopping retailers QVC and HSN have been in the homes of millions of Americans, but now, the two appear to be looking to reach shoppers in the heart of New York City, the New York Post reported on Wednesday, October 12.

According to the report, the two e-commerce retailers are said to be seeking storefronts on West 34th Street, not far from Macy’s Herald Square.

QVC currently operates an outlet store at its West Chester, PA-headquarters along with three other locations in Frazer, PA; Lancaster, PA; and Rehoboth Beach, DE. HSN has five Florida outlet stores, in Bardmoor, Brandon, Sarasota, Tampa and New Port Richey.

The New York Post report also indicated that Amazon is looking for retail space in the same area. While there were few specifics on the type of space the company was seeking, Amazon is no stranger to midtown Manhattan. In 2014, the company took space on West 34th Street to serve as a fulfillment center during a test of a bike messenger service.
