Sears Holdings will close another 20 U.S. locations, as the owner of Sears and Kmart stores continues to look for ways to control costs and stay afloat.
The latest round of store closures was first reported by Business Insider, which cited Sears employees as its sources. Sears did not respond to a request for comment. The report did not indicate if the latest round of closures includes all Sears stores or a mix of Sears and Kmart locations.
Over the past several months, Sears has continued to reduce its store count. In June, the company announced it was closing 72 stores, which followed the closing of 150 stores beginning in January. The previous announcements included Sears and Kmart locations.
