Restoration Hardware Promotes Stangl, Stanchak

Restoration Hardware has promoted Sandra Stangl and David Stanchak to the company’s office of the president.

Stangl has been named president, chief merchandising and business development officer. In her new role, she will lead merchandising, inventory planning and sourcing for interiors, modern, outdoor, baby and child, teen, and contract, across the company’s physical, digital, and print distribution channels. Prior to her promotion, Stangl was RH president of new business development. She joined RH after a 23-year career at Williams-Sonoma, where she most recently served as president of Pottery Barn Brands.

Stanchak has been appointed president, chief real estate and development officer. In his new position, he will lead real estate development, architecture and design for all of the company’s brands, concepts and facilities domestically and internationally. Stanchak has served as RH’s chief real estate and transformation officer. Before that, he was svp/Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Gary Friedman, chairman and CEO of RH, noted, “The office of the president is designed to promote cross-functional collaboration, by leading the company in an integrated fashion, tearing down the silos that exist in most organizations of scale. I believe I speak for the entire office of the president, when I say we are thrilled to be leading RH through its next phase of innovation and growth with Sandra and Dave as integral members of the team.”

In addition, the company opened RH West Palm, The Gallery at CityPlace, which integrates all of its businesses, interiors, modern, outdoor, baby and child, teen and hospitality. The 80,000 square foot gallery, in West Palm Beach, FL, features a rooftop restaurant, wine vault and barista bar developed by restaurateur and founding president of RH Hospitality, Brendan Sodikoff.
