Rowenta Expands Home Comfort Appliance Line

CHICAGO— Rowenta is expanding its line of home comfort appliances, and will launch several new seasonal designs at the International Home + Housewares Show, here.

In the heater segment, the company is unveiling its line of Silence Comfort heaters. The line includes a personal ceramic heater and whole room ceramic heater, in addition to Eco models of both. The new line features ceramic technology, which is said to promote durability compared to traditional coil technology.

Instrumental to most heating appliances, the line includes a number of safety features. The double overheat protection automatically stops the unit from warming before it overheats; a safety alert automatically stops the unit and alerts users when an issue arises; drip-proof safety allows the unit to be used in bathrooms or humid areas; and four-way auto-off automatically stops the unit if it falls over.

The heaters are designed to be lightweight with ergonomic handles for easy carrying. It also includes a cool touch housing and handle, stand-by light that lets users know if the device is on or off and a washable dust filter.

The heaters can also be used year round with a cool fan position, available to cool or ventilate a room, the company suggested.

The personal heaters feature 750-watt power and are suitable for up to 210 square feet. The personal heater carries a manufacturer suggested retail price of $49.99 and the Eco model carries a suggested retail price of $79.99.

The whole room heater features 1,500-watt power and is suitable for up to 270 square feet. The whole room heater carries an MSRP of $69.99 and the Eco model has a suggested retail price of $99.99.

In cooling, the company will unveil its new and improved range of fans featuring a sleek design and decreased sound levels. The Turbo Silence Extreme fans line includes a manual desk fan, electronic desk fan and electronic stand fan.

The fans feature Silent Night Speed, said to reach 35dB on electronic models and 38dB on manual mode. Energy savings mode allows airflow to automatically decrease until reaching the optimal speed to save energy while cooling the room.

The fans also include five speeds, with four available on manual mode, including turbo speed, a user-friendly control panel, 8-hour timer, compact remote control with built-in storage and comfort handle.

The manual desk fan, electronic desk fan and electronic stand fan carry a suggested retail price of $110, $130 and $175, respectively.

The company will also unveil its new Aqua Perfect humidifier. The ultrasonic humidifier is said to automatically adjust the humidity level according to the ratio of temperature and humidity.

The unit features dual action of the warm mist function and nano-silver cartridge for germ-free mist. It includes manual setting for users to set a desired humidity level in addition to continuous mode, which keeps the mist ongoing until the water tank is empty.

The unit output is up to 2.8 gallons per day with a 1.6 water tank capacity. It is said to last over 30 hours at maximum speed with up to two years of clean mist. It also includes a user-friendly touch panel and integrated foldable handle and water tank lock system for easy carrying.

The humidifier will also be available in a second model that will feature a remote control for added convenience. The two units will launch in September 2017, and carry an MSRP of $129.99 for the standard unit and $139.99 for the model with remote.
