Samsung’s new Powerbot Turbo robotic vacuum (model VR9350) is now rolling out at major retailers nationwide.
The vacuum features CycloneForce, a dust separation system that is said to use strong centrifugal forces to provide more consistent power with less clogging. The Point Cleaning feature uses a remote control to allow users to shine a light beam to a desired location on the floor, which the vacuum follows, cleaning as it moves.
In addition, the Smart Control WiFi connectivity allows users to remotely guide the movement of the vacuum using a smartphone. The “Select & Go” feature creates a virtual map of the home on the smartphone app, letting users select specific areas or rooms that may need cleaning. The vacuum is also compatible with Amazon’s Alexa for voice-controlled vacuuming.
“Homeowners have told us again and again that one of their biggest challenges is keeping their homes clean and getting rid of the floor dirt and dust which never seems to go away,” said John Herrington, svp/general manager of home appliances at Samsung. “With holiday guests about to visit, you’ll need all the help you can get and the solution is pretty simple and practical: use as much strong and targeted vacuum suction power as possible.”
The Samsung Powerbot Turbo has a suggested retail price of $1,199.
