Shark has expanded its vacuum and steam cleaner portfolio with four new floor care appliances, including its first robotic vacuum.
The Shark Ion Robot 750 connected robotic vacuum features WiFi connectivity. The mobile app allows consumers to program the robot from anywhere as it cleans, docks and recharges, automatically. It also features voice control through the Google Assistant or Shark skill for Amazon Alexa.
The robot also features smart sensor navigation, which is said to ensure the vacuum navigates floors and carpets while proximity sensors assess and adapt to surrounding obstacles. It includes a self-cleaning brushroll with hair-detangling technology for capturing short and long hair, dust, dander and allergens, and dual spinning side brushes to pull in debris from corners and edges. The new robotic vacuum is available at retailers nationwide and has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $349.
The company also launched the cord-free Shark IonFlex 2X DuoClean cordless ultra-light vacuum, a freestanding cord-free model that features DuoClean technology; the Shark Apex DuoClean Powered Lift-Away vacuum, which is said to deliver a multi-floor, pet and allergen cleaning experience in full-sized and compact options; and the Shark steam mop.
“Our new line of Shark products was engineered to meet and exceed specific requests from Shark customers,” said Mark Rosenzweig, CEO of SharkNinja. “We listen closely to our users’ needs, and strive to design products that make their lives easier. Whether it’s introducing a whole new level of versatility and power in a cordless vacuum with the IonFlex, or providing hands-free, automated Shark performance cleaning with the Shark Ion Robot, we ceaselessly innovate to offer consumers exciting ways to experience new levels of clean.”
The Shark IonFlex 2X DuoClean cordless ultra-light vacuum, Shark Apex and Shark steam mop vacuum models are available at retailers nationwide with suggested retail prices of $459.99, $399.99 and $79.99, respectively.
