CHICAGO— Sterilite will debut new solutions in the storage, waste and laundry segments at the International Home + Housewares Show, here.
The company’s new Fresh Scent Storage Boxes feature a ventilation compartment that helps keeps clothes smelling fresh. A standard dryer sheet fits in the lid’s ventilation unit where it works to eliminate unpleasant odors and ensure contents keep that “just-washed” scent when retrieved. They feature tinted bases and coordinated lid and latches.
The company’s Latching Box line features a modern space saving shape and hinging lid, which allows the user do undo one latch and lift the lid with one hand. The other latch stays attached and acts as a hinge, even when the lid is opened all of the way. It is featured in seven sizes.
In both of the above mentioned lines, select sizes share an indexed lid to allow both shallow and deep sizes to be stored in the same footprint.
Sterilite is also expanding its Weave collection, with a variety of décor solutions for visible storage areas. New Weave countertop drawers provide new solutions and complement the current Weave towers, totes, baskets, and laundry items.
The Latching Tuff1 Totes, available in 18- and 30-gallon capacities, are made from polyethylene, making them rugged and impact resistant even in colder temperatures, making them ideal for storing items in the garage, shed or basement areas. The totes also feature heavy-duty latches for comfortable lifting and transporting.
In laundry, Sterlite’s 1.75 Bushel / 62 Liter Ultra Wheeled Laundry Basket is a basket and hamper combo; it combines the valued features of portability and capacity. It offers smooth gliding wheels and a retractable handle, to transport clothes to and from the laundry room or bedroom more easily. The hole pattern allows clothes to remain well ventilated and integrated handles allow for easier carrying up and down stairs.
Sterilite’s 2.2 Bushel / 78 Liter Divided Laundry Basket features a dividing panel that helps the consumer separate whites from colors. The divider can be installed in any location within the basket, resulting in a customized laundry solution. This feature aims to ensure that clean clothes remain organized within the basket, particularly when completing laundry for multiple family members.
In the waste segment, the company’s Locking Wastebaskets are designed with a modern, textured aesthetic and feature a locking lid to prevent pets and children from accessing the trash. Turning the knob counterclockwise will unlock the wastebasket. A hinged lid opens to replace the trash liner and firmly snaps back onto the base to keep the lid securely in place, even if the wastebasket is accidentally tipped or pushed over.
Sterilite will also unveil its holiday and promotional color programs. Its holiday storage products are available in a wide range of specialized sizes and shapes to keep items organized during and after the holidays. These items are specially designed to protect tough-to-store items like Christmas ornaments, gift wrap, lights, or other holiday décor. Featuring clear and opaque bases, the holiday line allows consumers to quickly distinguish between their holiday and everyday storage.
In helping consumers protect, store, and reuse their Halloween decorations and costumes year after year, its totes for the holiday feature an orange and purple theme.
Sterilite is tapping into the consumer’s desire for refreshing colors with its 2017 spring and back-to-college program, featuring punchy bright shades of green, blue and purple.
