NEW YORK— With the one-pot, multi-cooker category in small electrics continuing to see solid growth and additional placement at retail, VitaClay is now showcasing several new appliances in its assortment.
The Smart Organic Multi-Crock n’ Stock Pot is designed to make a host of dishes including broth, chili, stew, steamed vegetables, fish, soup and yogurt. The unit features an unglazed clay pot with a high dome clay top, several pre-programmed functions, a set and forget setting with 30-minute increments and automatic warm setting. A free recipe book is also included.
According to the company, cooking in an unglazed clay pot activates enzymes and minerals in foods, enabling the home cook to extract flavors and nutrients from recipes.
VitaClay is also offering its 2-in-1 Organic Slow Cooker and Yogurt Maker. Offering 2-quart capacity, the unit features three temperature settings (hot, low, yogurt), a lead-free and chemical-free clay insert, glass lid and free recipe booklet that includes more than 50 natural recipes.
In addition to making yogurt, company officials said the slow cooker is also able make a variety of dishes that include a mini pot roast, oatmeal, soups, stews and dips.
Rounding out the assortment is the VitaClay Smart Organic Multicooker. Offering a capacity of 8 cups, the unit is touted by the company as a 4-in-1 that can serve as a rice cooker, slow cooker, digital steamer and low temperature artisan yogurt maker. Seven settings include white rice, quinoa, brown rice, wholegrain, sushi, reheat, stew and soup as well as a yogurt/germinate function.
In addition, the multicooker is offered with an unglazed clay pot that is free of any non-stick glazes and contains no lead or aluminum, according to the company.
