Wayfair celebrated interior designers at the 2017 Trade Tastemaker Awards, an event where its panel of judges identified top designs from more than 10,000 submissions.
The judges critiqued the entries based on innovation and aesthetic in each of the following categories: Designer of the Year, Best Use of Color, Best Office Space and Best Hospitality Space. For the second consecutive year, the public had the chance to vote on a favorite design project through the People’s Choice award.
Wayfair recognized the award winners at an exclusive ceremony in New York. The 2017 award winners are:
- Designer of the Year: Terracotta Design Build
- Best Use of Color: High Park Renovation by Designtheory
- Best Office Space: The Hivery by Design Renegades
- Best Hospitality Space: The Drexyl by Aline Architecture
- People’s Choice: Amy Kartheiser Design
“We are always amazed by the spectacular designs created by the talented members of our trade program and are thrilled to team up with our expert judges to recognize those who are elevating the future of the industry,” said Jessica Dowling, head of Wayfair Trade, which focuses on the design community. “This year’s award-winning concepts demonstrate what it means to be a Trade Tastemaker by illustrating an exceptional balance of materials and color, and by showcasing an unwavering commitment to innovative design.”
