West Elm has partnered with Sonos, and will feature the home sound system brand in all of its stores and online.
The new program offers consumers the ability to fully experience and purchase Sonos speakers and components as they consider other home furnishing decisions, the retailer noted. Participating stores will also provide sound systems as part of West Elm’s Style + Service program and select locations will feature dedicated Sonos listening areas, custom-designed to encourage consumers to further explore integrated home music and audio systems.
West Elm has unveiled a prototype of its 16 planned Sonos Listening Labs in New York at its Upper Westside Broadway store. The free standing spaces, outfitted with West Elm’s modern furnishings and accessories and Sonos home sound system products, will be featured in select stores including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Miami and Seattle. Each of these interactive spaces will be tailored to provide custom, high-fidelity listening environments.
“Well-designed products and innovative technology make an impact in any space, and Sonos’ best-in-class speakers help further our vision of enhancing our customers’ in-store experience,” said Jim Brett, West Elm president. “With Sonos’ expertise, we are excited to create experiential environments that are immersive and inviting for our customers to play, listen and find inspiration for their homes.”
Beginning in October, West Elm will also offer in-home setup of Sonos products as part of its Style + Service program. Customers looking to maximize their music and home theater sound can hire a trained West Elm professional to identify the optimal Sonos products for their space, and assist in the setup and installation. Installation services start at $129 in select metro areas including New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and Atlanta.
Customers can shop for Sonos products on West Elm’s website and in all U.S. stores by spring 2017. The selection is also featured in West Elm’s catalog, which will be delivered to homes in November.
