Williams-Sonoma has launched four new e-commerce sites for Canadian consumers.
The retailer currently has 24 brick-and-mortar stores in Canada and will now provide the market with a product assortment through company-owned and operated e-commerce sites. The new sites for Williams Sonoma, West Elm, Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids brands will offer an enhanced customer experience including full access from mobile devices, localized content and new product offerings, noted the company.
The new sites will include mobile functionality that will allow customers to make purchases from any mobile device. The online customer experience will also include localized content marketing that highlights Canadian holidays and traditions.
The sites will feature products sold in Canadian stores, as well as select new assortment offerings that have yet to debut in the Canadian market. At launch, new-to-market items will include a curated assortment of best-selling products from the U.S. including cutlery and cookware from Williams Sonoma and furniture and decorative pieces from West Elm, with additional selections in the coming months.
“Canada is an important market for us, and we are excited to offer our Canadian customers the convenience of online shopping, providing them with a complete multi-channel experience,” said Laura Alber, president and CEO of Williams-Sonoma. “In addition to our retail presence, we are now able to engage with our Canadian customers online and through their mobile devices with localized content and enhanced product offerings.”
