Winix has relocated its North American headquarters to Vernon Hills, Illinois.
According to the home environment manufacturer, the new Vernon Hills location now serves as the North American head office and distribution center. The company said it plans to use the facility for the manufacturing of air quality products by late 2018.
Winix celebrated the opening of its new facility with a traditional Gosa Ceremony on October 6. The Gosa Ceremony is an ancient and traditional Korean blessing ritual often used at the start of a new venture, the company said.
“We are quite proud of our Korean heritage at Winix, and enjoy combining the cultures of Korea and America in creative ways,” said Tony Kircher, president of Winix America. “In our business practices we try to borrow the best of both countries and to learn from each other. It makes for an exciting atmosphere as our employees around the world adapt to each other’s way of doing things.”
