World And Main Sells Handy Hardware Unit

World and Main, parent company of home environment brand, Comfort Zone, has sold its Handy Hardware unit to Hardware Distribution Warehouses, Inc.

Bryan Yeazel, president and chief executive officer, World and Main, said, “We are pleased to complete the strategic review of our Handy Hardware business. This divestiture is consistent with our focus on growing our core businesses and executing on our long-term strategic plan. Handy Hardware has a strong team with a business model that is highly complementary to HDW’s. We are grateful to our Handy team for their tireless work and wish them the best for a smooth transition.”

Yeazel added, “This transaction will amplify World and Main’s capabilities, allowing us to be a better partner with our customers. We look forward to serving our customers across our broad product offering in the home, hardware, and building supply categories. This transaction allows us to redeploy capital to business development activities that further enhance our strategic growth plan.”

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
