CHICAGO— Wüsthof is expanding beyond its cutlery focus with several new kitchen tools to meet the needs of barbecue enthusiasts and home cooks. The company is introducing a four-piece BBQ set and four-piece skewer set, as well as a suite of new kitchen tools at the International Home + Housewares Show, here.
According to the company, the BBQ and skewer sets were inspired and developed by Wüsthof’s executive chef, Michael Garaghty.
The new four-piece BBQ set is made of stain-free and nonreactive brushed stainless steel and features the company’s signature, triple-rivet black handles. The company stated that the tools are designed to be well-balanced and comfortable in the hand. They are long enough to protect hands from potential flare-ups, and said to be designed without being too long, heavy and unwieldy.
The four-piece BBQ set includes a turner, fork, brush and tongs. Rings at the end of each of the four BBQ tools allow them to be hung on grill hooks for easy reach and storage.
The BBQ set will be available at retail nationwide in April and has a suggested retail price of $99.99. The four-piece skewer set, also available in April, will have a suggested retail price of $19.99.
In April, Wüsthof is also launching a BBQ microsite on the company’s website, that will be devoted to all things grilling for barbecue enthusiasts.
The company is also launching a new kitchen tools collection that will be available in a five-piece set or eight open stock pieces. The tools are also made of stain-free and non-reactive brushed stainless steel and feature the company’s signature, triple-rivet black handles.
According to the company, the tools are designed to be long enough to protect hands during use on hot ranges, stovetops, and ovens, without being too long, heavy and difficult to control. They also feature sturdy rings at the end of each tool to make it easy to store on wall hooks, as well as in countertop caddies or kitchen drawers.
The five-piece kitchen tool set includes a spoon, slotted spoon, spatula, ladle and skimmer. The open stock assortment includes the five tools offered in the set, as well as a pasta ladle, whisk and tongs. The tongs are spring-loaded for longer wear and feature a locking clip to keep them closed.
The Wüsthof kitchen tools will be available at retail nationwide in April. The new kitchen tools collection includes eight essential open stock items, each priced at $24.99 suggested retail price, and the five-piece kitchen tool set has a $99.99 suggested retail price.
