CHICAGO— Yedi Houseware, which has been best known for its broad assortment of colorful tableware, has moved into the world of small electrics with its new pressure cooker.
Touted by the company as a 7-in-1 multi-functional programmable unit, the pressure cooker offers 15 micro-processor controlled programs to cook a variety of meals including soup, stew, chili, poultry, fish, rice, quinoa and cake.
Its triple pressure setting is said by the company to reduce cooking time by as much as 70% and the medium or low pressure avoids overcooking delicate food.
“We look at our electric pressure cooker as a kitchen in a box,” said Bobby Djavaheri, director of sales and development with Yedi Houseware. “This allows everyone from young professionals to families with kids the ability to whip up a meal quickly.”
Offering a one-year warranty, the electric pressure cooker is equipped with a stainless steel cooking pot, stainless steel steam rack, two cooking spoons, measuring cup, condensation collector and instruction booklet with a link to an instructional video.
While the unit is Yedi’s first step into the kitchen electrics statement, he said the company is looking to add new items with products that could fall into the coffee and cooking segments.
