TREVOSE, PA— Looking ahead at the new year, ZeroWater is expanding its current water filtration line in order to continue to grow market share.
The company said its new products, which will launch in the first quarter of 2017, were developed with an emphasis on design while maintaining quality.
Tony Petruzzi, marketing director at ZeroWater, said, “ZeroWater is continuously looking at the category moving forward. Consumers not only want a healthy option but something that is aesthetically pleasing and can coordinate with other kitchen items, whether that be for a dinner party or for everyday use.”
The company’s expanded line includes a 7-cup Ready Pour pitcher and 10-cup Ready Pour pitcher in a new round design. The new pitchers feature the company’s patented five-stage dual ion-exchange water filtration technology.
The 7-cup filter holds six cups in the body and one extra cup in the reserve and includes a water quality indicator. It has a suggested retail price of $21.99.
The 10-cup round pitcher holds eight cups in the body and two extra in the reserve, features a quick fill lid and includes a digital water quality meter. It has a suggested retail price of $34.99.
The company will also introduce a 2.5-gallon filtered glass carafe, which represents its entrance into this new water filtration sub-category. It also features the company’s patented five-stage filtration technology, includes a digital water quality meter and carries a suggested retail price of $74.99.
According to Petruzzi, the company will also update its product packaging. “We have done research and found from our retailers that consumers often open the box to really see and feel our products. With the new open box concept, consumers can do this without opening boxes on shelves. The goal here is to not only show the quality of our pitchers but also drive home the key points in our filtration system,” he said.
Petruzzi noted that for 2016 the company focused on giving back to communities in need with its Filters for Flint program, and will continue this effort into 2017 while also giving more options for retailers.
“Marketing efforts will continue into 2017 with the message of ZeroWater’s superior filtration and ease of use. Being the only pour through five-stage filter on the market, we know that consumers are increasingly more aware of what they are putting in their bodies including water,” he said.
He added that the company will expand independent testing to further substantiate the quality of its filters.
“Given all of the negative press around water quality, ZeroWater will continue their commitment to help support and grow the category as water quality and recommended daily consumption is essential to all,” he said. “ZeroWater strives to be a part of our users’ lives from special occasions to personal living.”
