CHICAGO— ZeroWater is showcasing its new water filtration appliances at the International Home + Housewares Show, here.
As part of its Ready Pour product expansion, the company will offer two new size options for the line, including 7-cup and 10-cup pitchers. It will also showcase a new large capacity 23-cup dispenser and 2.5-gallon glass water filtration carafe.
According to the company, the new water filtration appliances were developed with space savings and design in mind.
“Consumers not only want a healthy option for water filtration but also something that is functionally designed with their kitchen and home needs,” said Tony Petruzzi, marketing director, ZeroWater. “The easiest way to ensure that is to provide them with options that blend into their current kitchen aesthetic, whether that is for space saving reasons or for aesthetics.”
In addition, each ZeroWater appliance, including the new launches, features the company’s five-stage, dual ion-exchange filtration system, which is said to remove 99.6% of dissolved solids from tap water.
The system’s first two stages feature activated carbon and reduction alloy to remove the taste of chlorine and ion exchange to remove dissolved solids such as aluminum, lead, zinc and nitrate. Three additional stages remove other impurities, and the filters are NSF certified to reduce lead and other heavy metals such as chromium 3 and 6. The devices are also BPA free and include a water-testing indicator.
The new 7-cup Ready Pour pitcher features increased capacity and a small footprint. The design allows for six cups to be held within the body and an additional cup in the reserve. It carries an MSRP of $21.99.
To ensure consumers are provided with clean water options for the home, the company said it has migrated from its traditional pitcher style to launch the 10-cup Ready Pour pitcher in a new round design. The pitcher holds eight cups of water in the body and two additional cups in the reserve. It carries an MSRP of $34.99.
The full Ready Pour line, including the new size options, features a sealed lid and reservoir, said to allow users to pour already filtered water from the dispenser without spilling water currently being filtered inside the pitcher.
The new large capacity, 23-cup dispenser features a one-handed push to dispense spout, easy access flap to fill the dispenser while it’s still in the fridge and built-in TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meter holder. It carries an MSRP of $39.99.
The 2.5-gallon glass dispenser was designed to coordinate with any occasion, the company said.
“ZeroWater strives to be a part of our users’ lives from special occasions to personal living,” said Petruzzi. “The new glass dispenser was designed to be clean, simple and elegant for a seamless addition to any home, whether families use it for their daily drinking water or bring it out for large gatherings and parties.”
The dispenser is made of glass and food and beverage safe stainless steel, and carries an MSRP of $69.99.
The company is also showcasing its new High Performance Brita Replacement mini filters. The filters are designed to fit all Brita water filtration pitchers and said to fit most other conventional filter pitchers, with the goal of eliminating the need for consumers to purchase new pitchers when looking to use ZeroWater filtration technologies.
The mini filters carry an MSRP of $4.99.
