Vietri Appoints Former Belk Executive Roberts CEO

Vietri Inc. has appointed Bill Roberts CEO. He succeeds Vietri founder Susan Gravely, who will remain on the executive team and board of directors as chairman and head of product development.

Roberts brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the position, most recently as evp/chairman of Belk’s northern division. Prior to that, he held positions at Belk including evp, gmm, svp, director of stores, and president of the southern division. Prior to joining Belk, he held positions at May Department Stores and Macy’s.

“Bill shares the same commitment to family and well-being on which Vietri was founded. It is what Vietri is about— cherishing moments with family and friends and living life the way it should be lived, the way Italians live, with passion,” said Gravely. “We made the decision to bring Bill on board because he is the right person to take our business to the next level.
