The New York Tabletop Market at Forty One Madison was in its second day on Wednesday, April 13, and vendors showcased tabletop solutions beyond just basic dinnerware, highlighting mixed material home entertaining lifestyle presentations. Nambé showcased a new collection, called Forte, in its signature alloy and concrete, designed by Steve Cozzolino. The collection featured a wine coaster, condiment set, bowls, salt and pepper holders, candlesticks and candle holder. The company also debuted its largest selection of glass designs since it brought it back in house, called Moderne, which is intended to be merchandised with its alloy and wood offerings. Prima Design showcased glass serveware designs that coordinated with the company's colored bakeware, due to customer requests, the company said. Vietri showcased glass dining and accent pieces to coordinate with its best selling Lastra dinnerware. LSA International, which just set up a U.S. showroom in the Forty One Madison building for the spring market, is celebrating 50 years in business. The company showcased its Utility assortment, which features enameled steel and mouthblown glass, combined with natural wood and leather to create dual purpose tableware designs. Thirstystone’s Old Hollywood collection, designed in collaboration with celebrity wedding planner and designer David Tutera, featured dark wood paired with gold, marble serving pieces, and other mixed materials for its eclectic home entertaining collection. Gibson also showcased mixed materials in its market showroom with its General Store collection, incorporating galvanized steel tin, cast iron, glass and ceramic pieces to create a vintage like kitchen look. The company's Tosca line also featured wicker pieces mixed with metal, glassware and ceramics for a Tuscan countryside feel.
