Trudeau has launched Trudeau Maison, a new multi-category housewares program from the company that has been designed specifically to answer the needs of big box and grocery store retail channels. Philippe Trudeau, president of Trudeau USA, will be in charge of the new collection, which is the company’s first foray into this segment of the U.S. retail market. “Our goal with Trudeau Maison was to capitalize on Trudeau’s brand recognition by introducing a new affordable retail collection with design elements that foodies, families and home cooks will love,” said Trudeau. “In a market where consumers are changing the way they shop and retailers are constantly reinventing themselves, we have to rethink our approach to remain relevant and competitive." To be in line with today’s consumer lifestyle and culinary trends, Trudeau Maison is comprised of 256 housewares products that are designed to offer consumers items focused on cooking, eating and drinking. Themed comprehensive assortments focus on such lifestyle trends as breakfast, fondue night, salad, baking and healthy lunches, for example. Focusing on design, durability and value, the company said, Trudeau Maison consists of kitchenware products, barware accessories and on-the-go beverageware offerings. By capitalizing on the company’s brand recognition, this collection is designed to offer a turn-key solution for retailers with competitive pricepoints and merchandising versatility, with shelf and wall options for each assortment, the company said. Signage, merchandising and packaging has been designed to meet the demands of different retailers, as well as to ensure retailers can use the marketing in their allotted space. There are also shelf talkers available depending on the program run in the retail store channel and the product segment, such as kitchen tools and gadgets, coffee and tea, home entertaining, salt and pepper or barware, for example. “We’ve taken every possible step to make the Trudeau Maison collection a point of sale success. The collection was created to standardize categories, allowing cross-category merchandising,” Trudeau said.
